Samira's mother Lina cries as she tells the story: “My husband died in a car accident two years ago. Now I live with little Samira and her two uncles of 14 and 16. The four of us live on the money I can earn washing clothes for our neighbours, and it is nowhere near enough food for the four of us.”

How we work
The help goes directly to the hardest hit
In Afghanistan we have a wide-reaching network across the country that makes it possible to target the help to the Afghans who are worst off. We transfer money directly to our people in the country, who carefully select poor families with young girls at risk of being sold.
Every month our people film the money being handed over and the girls still being with their families. They send the videos to Mission10forty.
