HELP ARMENIAN REFUGEES FROM NAGORNO-KARABAKH

After a lightning war lasting less than a week, Karabakh — an Armenian Christian region for 1,700 uninterrupted years — has ceased to exist. An incomprehensible tragedy of historic proportions. On September 19, 2023, the Armenians in Karabakh received the final blow: Azerbaijan began bombarding the area to drive the Armenians out once and for all. Within just a few days, more than half of the 120,000 Christian Armenians had fled Karabakh — primarily women and children. Today, all of Karabakh has been emptied of Christians.

Since the mass exodus from Karabakh in late September 2023, we have, as of April 2024, helped 10,000 refugees with food, hygiene products, hot meals, winter aid, and psychological first aid.

The newest refugees from Karabakh have joined more than 60,000 others who were already displaced during the previous war in 2020. Children and their families living in the war-torn border regions are under constant threat and suffer from extreme poverty.

You can make a tremendous difference for the children of Armenia by sponsoring a vulnerable Armenian child through Mission10forty — for just 265 DKK per month.

10-year-old Anahit lives with her little brother, cousin and two other children with her grandmother in a ramshackle house in a small village in northern Armenia.

Five children are cared for by an elderly woman. Anahit’s mom and dad died in a traffic accident four years ago. The family of six receive 350 DKK a month from the government – and that doesn’t even cover food costs. They cannot afford to change the windows and it gets cold when the snow falls in mountainous Armenia.

Anahit’s life is filled with poverty, hunger and anxiety. She is one of several thousand Armenian children Mission10forty wishes to help.

It costs only 265 DKK a month to secure Anahit a better future – with food, winter clothing, school equipment and activities at a child centre.

Ways that you can help

Winterization in Armenia

Christian Armenians are freezing during the tough winter, and they are scared. Support now with winter clothing, isolation and comfort.

Aid to starving children in Afghanistan

130.000 children in Afghanistan risk dying of starvation right now. Children and adults need immediate help.

Aid in North Korea

We have quite extraordinarily secured access to North Korea, and therefore we can provide assistance in one of the world’s most isolated countries.

We are
Mission10forty

We are a Danish NGO that helps vulnerable children and youth in the countries of the 10/40 Window in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

We believe in the ability of every human being to change his or her destiny and to make the world a better place. We believe in divine inspiration and are inspired by the example of Christ who came to save the world and showed that we are all created equal.

We believe our lives should be based on the values he showed of compassion, truth, care for our fellow man and appreciation of the full potential of every human being.

We work with everyone, irrespective of faith, gender, race and orientation.

We engage and enable the new generation to provide hope, relief, recovery and reconciliation to their peers in the countries of the 10/40 Window of Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Our vision is to see the lives of the new generation in the 10/40 Window countries changed so they can realize their full potential as human beings.

Tak for enhver støtte!

Vores fantastiske tur til armenien . 👏🤗♥️♥️

In Stockholm on October 3rd, Kim Hartzner and Kirsten Callesen, Founders of Mission10forty, meeting with diplomats of the DPRK (North Korean) Embassy.

It was great finally to catch up with representatives of the Embassy that Kim has worked with since 2011, both in North Korea and Stockholm.

We discussed our future and continued collaboration.
